 Where have morals gone, eh? 🤷🏻‍♂️  I almost fell to the ground while walking home one fateful night.  Next, I heard voices call out, 'BROTHER BERNARD!' They belonged to some kids sitting in front of their mother's shop. Fortunately, I didn't fall. 😅 I staggered, smiled, and moved on without saying a word. However, I shook my head. Perhaps they innocently wanted to have fun. 🙂

 Eloquent reading is a public speaking skill that should be cultivated. It makes reading fun. When kids perceive that they are good readers, their confidence is boosted.  Danda: My uncle in Turkey (TURH-ki) promised to buy me a turkey (toh-KI ) next week. Mom would make stew with it. Bambi: Why did you pronounce the country's name as 'TURH-ki' and the bird's as 'toh-KI'? Danda: Isn't that how it should be? We eat turkey (toh-KI), and Turkey (TURH-ki) is a country. Bambi: They are homonyms. Danda: I wouldn't risk pronouncing that word (homonyms). I could lose a tooth if I try. I'm expecting a turkey (toh-KI) soon and I need my teeth complete. If you know what I mean. Bambi: That's funny. You wouldn't lose any tooth but it's okay. Homonyms are words with the same spelling and pronunciation but different meanings. Danda: Does it mean that the country and animal have the same pronunciation? Bambi: That's it! Danda: So, it's, "My uncle in Turkey (TURH-ki) promised to buy me a turkey (TURH-ki) next year."
