BRAND AMBASSADOR APPOINTMENT

Image
BRAND AMBASSADOR APPOINTMENT Some of you on this social media platform would agree with the fact that not only did I make posts about UWA, the Pan-African social network, but that I also messaged you privately telling you why you should begin to use UWA. I did the above because I wanted you to enjoy the benefits that come with using UWA. I am pleased to let you know that I have been accepted into UWA GROWTH PARTNERS MEMBERSHIP and shortlisted as a BRAND AMBASSADOR. I will tell you this, "I look forward to officially working with UWA's executives and users in growing and sustaining UWA as a social network for ALL." Thank you, UWA! Attached is a screenshot of the mail of appointment from Hollis E. Idabor, UWA's Chief Growth Officer. #uwaglobalbrandambassador #uwa #uwasocialapp #uwatotheworld #connectingafricansacrosstheglobe

"A" AND "AN." WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

"A" and "AN." What you should know: * AN: When the first sound in a word is a vowel (a vowel sound begins the word), the article "an" is used. Example: An elephant. * A: When the first sound in a word is a consonant (a consonant sound begins the word), the article "a" is used. Example: A lion. In "Hausa," the first sound is /h/, a consonant sound. It takes "a." A Hausa man. In "Honest," the first sound is /ɒ/ (the sound letter "o" gives), a vowel sound. It takes "an" because the letter "h" that begins the word is silent. An honest man. NOTE: In determining whether to use "a" or "an," attention is paid to "sounds," not "letters." This means that the word has to be pronounced because some words begin with consonant letters but have vowel sounds as their first sounds, and vice versa. #English #englishlearning

The term "SPELLING BEE."

Image
Did You Know? The expression "SPELLING BEE" is believed to have been developed from the practice of using the word "BEE" to describe a coming together of people to take part in a specific activity.  So, "SPELLING BEE" likely developed from the tradition of community spelling competitions where contestants would assemble to display their spelling strengths.  The exact origin of the expression "SPELLING BEE" remains quite unclear, but the expression has been used for such competitions since the 19th century. #SpellingBee #DidYouKnow
